Job Title: Economic Research Analyst

Location: Hybrid (possible onsite work in Alexandria, VA)

Type: Full-Time

Summary

We are seeking an Economic Research Analyst to manage and validate economic data from public and private sources (e.g., IMF, Numbeo ) to support COLA index development. This role interprets macroeconomic conditions, maintains vendor relationships, and delivers analysis that informs government policy decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Collect and validate economic data from third-party and public datasets.

• Monitor macroeconomic indicators and inflation trends.

• Ensure accurate cost-of-living calculations and updates to pricing models.

• Perform comparative analysis across geographic areas and demographics.

• Summarize findings for policy briefings and government deliverables.

Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field

• Experience : 5-7 years of experience in economic research or market analysis

• Experience with vendor data, public datasets, and cost index modeling.

• Proficiency in Excel and research databases.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in technical reporting.

• Candidates must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a T1 level clearance for consideration.
