About this Role:

The incumbent, under the direction of the IT Supervisor II, serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Medi-Cal Eligibility Data System (MEDS) and works within the Business Analyst Unit to coordinate system development tasks and manage assigned projects. Acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders—including county, state, federal, and vendor partners—the incumbent facilitates requirements gathering, assesses business cases, and participates in solution discussions to ensure enhancements are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry, state, and departmental standards. Responsibilities include technical report writing, project and contract oversight, testing, documentation, and impact analysis of IT-related legislation. The incumbent ensures compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations, oversees all phases of the project lifecycle, and supports high-level system design and implementation for Medi-Cal applications.

    1) Describe an analysis or project you worked on that had substantial impact on the business. Please include project methodology and your role in each phase.

    2) Describe a situation where you had your work planned for the day, then received an urgent request to complete work that was unplanned. How did you prioritize the work you had planned versus the urgent request that you received?
