The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. **It's Work That Matters.** **Overview** **Position Summary:** The Nutrition Assistant assist Clinical Dietitian in the provision of in-patient nutritional care. Collects subjective and objective data for evaluation of nutritional status. Assumes responsibility for patients evaluated as low nutritional risk. Reviews, updates and writes recipes for special formulas as needed. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. **Minimum Qualifications:** 1+ year of related experience preferred. Basic pediatric nutrition and pediatric assessment knowledge. Computer skills required. **Education/Licensure/Certifications:** A.A. degree and Dietetic Technician certificate program or BS/BA degree in Nutrition or related field. Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification **Pay Scale Information** $35,984.00-$59,082.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
