The PreMedia Production Artist is responsible for creating print-ready files with utilizing the highest production quality standards, exceeding client expectations within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: + Create print-ready layouts for signage using client provided data and style guidance + Assemble all elements of documents, ensuring quality typography + Proper color breaks, trapping (when necessary) + Graphics placement and photo requirements (resolution, ink limit) + Appropriate print specifications resulting in technically accurate final deliverable files + Render logos and artwork to meet print-ready end deliverable specifications + General knowledge of the workflows and procedures for the assigned area + Understanding of Mac environment + Read and follow internal markup and customer instructions + Work collaboratively, creatively and open-mindedly with project managers and/or art + Promptly notify the appropriate people of challenges affecting quality, schedule or budgets + Discuss different approaches and methods to achieve individual and departmental goals + Continually review current production processes for efficiencies for improvements/changes + Provide clear and concise written and/or verbal instructions to other team members Qualifications: Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis + High school diploma or equivalent + 3+ years industry experience + Knowledge of creating and working with templates and style sheets; including page formatting of copy, placing photos and artwork; producing multiple versions + Mastery of Mac-based InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat + Knowledge of steps required for the print process and an understanding of production methods to ensure designs can be produced for print delivery + Strong communication skills - verbal and written #LI-AW1 We offer excellent benefits to eligible employees, including 401(k), holidays, vacations and more.
