Job Title: Tier 2 Network Support Analyst

Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Core Requirements:

• Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VPLS, and VRF.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in multi-layered technical environments.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• On-call responsibilities may be required for emergency support.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field and at least 3 years of relevant experience, OR a minimum of 5 years of work experience in network support.
• 3+ years (within the last 5) designing and supporting Cisco network devices.
• 3+ years supporting dedicated WANs (MPLS, VPLS, VPN).
• 3+ years working with Palo Alto firewalls.
• 3+ years troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark and tcp dump.
• 3+ years managing network security tools (IDS/IPS, Snort, Splunk) and practices (incident response, log analysis, CVE mitigation).
• 3+ years supporting VPN tunnels (site-to-site and client-based).
• 2+ years supporting communication services like VoIP, UCaaS, and audiovisual infrastructure.
• 2+ years using enterprise network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Cacti, Scrutinizer).
• 2+ years with network mapping/visualization tools (e.g., NetBrain, BitB).
• 1+ years configuring cloud networks (OCI, Azure, AWS) and connectivity solutions (ExpressRoute, FastConnect).
• 1+ years designing and configuring SD-WAN with Palo Alto solutions.
• 1+ years implementing/supporting Cisco Meraki devices.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or Engineer (PCNSE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organization's operations and network infrastructure.
• Analyze and assess data communication needs and recommend solutions accordingly.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of network equipment and services.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to test, repair, and maintain network hardware.
• Monitor and analyze network performance using tools such as Paessler PRTG, Cisco Prime, QoS BitB, Plixer Scrutinizer, Cacti, and Splunk.
• Maintain detailed documentation of activities and resolutions.
• Interpret network diagrams, service orders, and technical specifications.
• Perform provisioning, change management, and incident resolution duties.
• Travel to various locations to install, replace, or repair equipment as needed.
• Assist in evaluating and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
