**Overview** **The Utility Person supports the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school or campus facilities. This role performs a variety of maintenance, custodial, and groundskeeping tasks to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment that supports student learning and staff productivity.** **Pay: $15.82/hour** The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. Your contributions and match are immediately vested. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist with general maintenance duties including light repairs, painting, furniture moving, and equipment setup. + Perform routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waste removal. + Support groundskeeping efforts including lawn care, snow removal, and general exterior upkeep. + Set up and break down rooms for meetings, events, and special activities. + Monitor and report building repair needs, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor. + Replenish supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance materials. + Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and efficiently. + Assist other maintenance and custodial staff as needed. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED required. + Previous experience in maintenance, custodial, or facilities work preferred. + Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance techniques. + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. + Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. + Valid driver's license. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working in a school or educational facility. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus. + Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations.
