**VCA Chatoak Animal Hospital** is a well-established 24 hour emergency and general practice facility. We are open from 7am to 12am, offer overnight hospitalization and open all holidays. **What we're looking for:** Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency department. **Schedule** : Saturday & Sundays from 12am to 8am. Wednesday & Thursday from 4pm to 12am **Compensation** : $ 25 - $ 27 / hr Shift Differential : $2.00 for overnight shifts **Ideal candidates must be proficient at the following:** + IV catheter placement + Venipuncture + Radiographs + Anesthesia induction (RVTs only), monitoring and recovery for minor and major procedures. + Triage ER walk-ins + Patient care and hourly treatments + Calculating and preparing medications (including boluses, transfusions and CRIs) + Restraining for exams and performing diagnostics + Clients communication (histories, discharges, demos, prescriptions) **Applicants should be/have:** + 4 years veterinary emergency experience + Able to work overnights and weekend night shift (Sat and Sun) + Be able to communicate thoroughly, respectfully, and compassionately + Receive and carryout instructions thoroughly, quickly and efficiently + Excellent multi-tasking skills in a busy environment + Outstanding organizational and time management skills + Able to provide exceptional client service and patient care + Work collaboratively in a team **Why You Should Consider Us** + VCA Chatoak offers competitive compensation packages from $25-$27, medical, dental, vision insurance (after 30 days of employment), 401k (w/ company matching), accrued vacation/sick time, paid holidays*, CE opportunities and professional growth, annual allowances for licensed technicians, health & wellness resources, generous employee pet discounts, and much more! *Ask for details **Proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
